103.7 The Connection – Public Service Announcement (PSA) Policy

As a faith-based organization, 103.7 The Connection is committed to broadcasting content that reflects our vision, mission, and core beliefs. Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are an integral part of our programming, and we aim to ensure that all aired content supports our commitment to promoting messages that align with our Christian values.

1. Alignment with Mission and Values

All PSAs considered for broadcast on 103.7 The Connection must align with our mission, vision, and statement of faith. We will prioritize PSAs that:

  •  Support community welfare and faith building in a manner consistent with Christian teachings.
  •  Promote spiritual growth and education.
  •  Encourage positive, family-friendly values.
  •  Assist in fulfilling the needs of the underprivileged, marginalized, or those in crisis, while upholding the dignity and respect inherent in every person.

2. Review and Approval Process

PSAs submitted for consideration will be reviewed by the station’s general manager or designated representative. The general manager reserves the right to accept or decline any PSA based on the following criteria:

  •  Alignment with 103.7 The Connection’s mission, vision, and statement of faith.
  •  The relevance and appropriateness of the message for our audience.
  •  The overall quality of the content, including language, tone, and presentation.
  •  Compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Discretionary Authority

The decision to air any PSA is at the sole discretion of the general manager. This decision will be based on whether the PSA supports the station’s mission and values and meets the above criteria. Locations at wineries or vineyards, or featuring alcoholic beverages will not be added.

We can’t make commitments about timing and frequency of on-air. These are done as time permits. Not all announcements will be heard on the air because of time constraints. 103.7 The Connection reserves the right to refuse any PSA for any reason. If a non-profit would like announcements at a certain time and/or frequency, partnership options are available. Contact the station for more information.

4. Submission Guidelines

Organizations and individuals wishing to submit a PSA for consideration must adhere to the following guidelines:

  •  PSAs should be event-focused rather than a general promotion for an organization.
  •  Submissions should include detailed information about the event as well as any
    relevant background information about the organization or cause being promoted.
  •  All submissions must be received at least two weeks prior to the desired air date.

5. Disclaimer

103.7 The Connection reserves the right to edit or modify any PSA for content, length, or clarity. Acceptance of a PSA does not imply endorsement of the organization or cause by 103.7 The Connection, except as explicitly stated.
